Trulieve Plans on Going Public

Florida’s largest MMTC has plans to be a publicly listed company – on Canada’s CSE stock market. Although the details have not been finalized, some information is available here.

In the continuing trend of Florida MMTCs selling for large sums, the 3 Boys firm from Ruskin just announced it will be bought by a Canadian Company for $93 million.

Christian Bax Abruptly Resigns

Christian Bax, the Director of Florida’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) just announced his resignation, which will be effective on August 10. The resignation came as a surprise to many. Bax has been criticized for his work in implementing the roll-out of medical marijuana in Florida, which has been plagued by missed deadlines and multiple lawsuits.

OMMU Deputy director Courtney Coppola will serve as temporary Director, and it is anticipated that a new director will not be appointed until after the fall election, when a new governor will make the decision on who will run the office that regulates medical marijuana.
